  • It is a holistic approach to roll out content that aligns to customer needs and prompts them to take action.
  • It is strategic and is more of pull marketing than push.

 

  1. Outbound Marketing
  • This is in contrast to inbound and uses the concept of pushing information to the consumer.
  • It may or may not get their attention and most comprise cold calling, direct emails, and advertisements, and sometimes can be intrusive.

 

  1. Buyer Journey
  • It is a process where the prospect moves through the different stages before buying your product/service.
  • Content marketing if aligned to these different stages then sales happen organically.

 

  1. Lead Nurturing
  • Lead is someone who has expressed interest in your product/service but has yet to decide on the purchase.
  • Guiding the prospect through this journey is called lead nurturing.

 

  1. Sales Funnel – TOFU, MOFU, BOFU
  • Is the visual depiction of the different stages a buyer traverses from awareness, consideration, and finally buying.
    • TOFU: Top of the funnel and providing them information on product knowledge and brand awareness.
    • MOFU: Middle of the funnel and providing targeted content that offers answers to specific questions they may have.
    • BOFU: Bottom of the funnel and providing information that enables the prospect to buy.

  • Is having clarity on your typical target segment and knowing their wants, goals and purchasing patterns.
  • Aligning content to these behaviours of target segment assures a buy.

 

  1. Target Segment
  • Is the specific audience that is extremely likely to buy your product/service.
  • Narrowing down to that particular audience from a larger group of people helps in providing them content and enabling them to buy.

 

  1. Account Based Marketing
  • It is a strategic method leveraged to personalize messages and campaigns for a customer or a select set.
  • It involves providing them discounts, offers and building a relationship with for long term and revenue generation.

 

  1. Word of Mouth
  • Considered to be one of the best methods of marketing it relies on brand reputation and customer testimonials.
  • It is a direct result of a favourable experience an existing customer has and refers you to others.

 

  1. GTM Strategy
  • Is a detailed plan that helps organization communicate with their target segments.
  • It is associated with a launch of a product and how the organization builds awareness of the same.

 

  1. Wireframe
  • It is skeletal framework of an upcoming website that provides clarity on the layout, navigation and menu.
  • It does not have graphics and is the first and fundamental step in building a website.

  • This is the gateway to your website and is the webpage that is displayed on your website when one clicks the URL.

  1. Breadcrumbs
  • It is the path that gets displayed on the site which tells you where you are within the site.
  • It indicates how far away from the home page a user is.

 

  1. Responsive Design
  • It is a design by which websites have inbuilt flexibility to change per the device in which its viewed.
  • It could be laptop, desktop, tablet or phone and the design dynamically changes accordingly.

 

  1. Keywords
  • It is the word that you type in to the browser window to search for something that you require.
  • It is a vital ingredient in SEO and helps brands get discovered.
