Hello Friends,
You must agree that Chennai has become hot, hip and happening. If the parks and beaches were the sought after hang out spots earlier, now it is the malls. Chic, cool and large, malls attract all types of people offering them a variety of activities. One can spend hours browsing through the shops, or get into a movie hall, eat, drink and be merry at the food court, do some serious shopping leveraging the many deals, buy all for your home at one single destination rather than jumping between shops. The malls have easily come to be a part of our lifestyle these days.
In Chennai, the transformation from a set of shops to mammoth malls began with the humble Fountain Plaza, Alsa Mall gradually to medium sized Ispahani Center, Chennai CitiCenter Express Avenue, and then to the high rises such as Phoenix Marketcity and the Forum Vijaya Mall.
A recent trip to the Forum Vijaya Mall left me pleasantly surprised. It seemed like a small and tidy shopping destination from the outside but I was amazed at its large stretching interiors and big brands. The Forum Vijaya Mall located at Arcot Road, Vadapalani one needs to ofcourse brave the traffic to reach the mall. Having come into existence in 2013, the Forum Vijaya Mall is a joint venture of Vijaya Productions and The Prestige Group, and is spread over 6,36,000 sq ft of retail space along with SPI Cinema’s Palazzo, an eight-screen multiplex and an IMAX screen as well. It is truly a shopping paradise with so much to see and enjoy and an ideal family outing or to laugh and cheer with friends.
A multi-level car parking holds up to 3,000 and more cars over 11 floors and two basement levels and we gather that a person who wants to go to the third floor can directly park on that floor and enter the mall.
