Hello Friends,

A much talked about film in the recent past happens to be the Malayalam film – Take Off starring the versatile actress Parvathy. Kunchacko Boban, Faahad Faasil and Asif Ali play pivotal roles to support the plot, and Parvathy’s performance gets a boost with their subtle and mature portrayals. Firstly it has an intact storyline based on a real life incident where a set of nurses get stranded in Tikrit, Iraq.

A broken marriage, painful divorce, custody of child, love blossoming after all the hardships, war and bombing and finally freedom all come together to form an amazing story of love and war.

Plot:

The story starts off with Sameera (Parvathy) recalling a brief and broken marriage with Faizal (Asif Ali) and missing her son of about 5 years. She is a nurse and wants to continue working to support her family which is opposed by her husband and his family which is the main reason for divorce. Shahid (Boban), a doctor colleague from work understands all her problems and loves her. Though initially hesitant Parvathy accepts his proposal and they get married. The couple leaves for Iraq to work at a Government Hospital and her son from the first marriage joins her as well. However, war is declared and the couple gets separated and the ensuing set of events is full of horror. The nurses are finally saved by a dynamic Indian Ambassador (Faahad Faasil) to Iraq. From the moment Parvathy pleads with him to rescue them all the way to their flight to freedom, a taut narration and sterling performances makes it a fantastic film . This is a must watch for any fan of intelligent cinema.
