Hello Friends,

Decorating your homes or buying ethnic outfits, dress materials, and traditional jewelry has become so easy these days. If you are very particular about trimming your wardrobe and bringing in only ethnic outfits from other parts of the country then head to the many exhibitions that the city hosts. It also gives you the satisfaction of helping artisans from across the country that are making a living out of this art form.

I have tried the many exhibitions and sales at the Kalakshetra Foundation which is known for hosting some of the best and unique exhibitions, and that was on recently was equally good. It had a wide range of sarees, yardage, dhurries, antiques items, furniture, lamp shades, footwear and handbags and several other interesting items on display that normally we don’t get to see in the Chennai shops.

Entry is free and there is no fee for car parking.
