Hello Friends,

From saris, dress material, jewelry, pottery, durries, jewel boxes, home décor, kitchen utensils, lampshades the range is amazing and extremely tempting – yes that is what you will find at the Crafts Bazaar 2018 organized by the Crafts Council of India. The exhibition and sale was opened today at the Co-Optex Grounds at Egmore and is on till January 8th. Bringing artisans from across India the collection includes patola saris, benaras saris, ikat and bhandhini prints, kutch embroidery, kanchi cottons, mageshwari fine prients, madhubani art and kalamkari dress material, jute products, Manipur shawls, Chennapatana toys and Rajasthan Phad paintings.

The Crafts Bazaar 2018 is easy to access with large area for parking. It is easy to move about and check each stall slowly. Most of the artisans are from up north so see if you can converse in Hindi to strike a good deal. Though they are firm about prices, you can bargain a bit to get the best deals.

For those of you who have plans to redecorate your house or reorganize your wardrobe, head to Egmore. I am sure you will return with cost effective items for the home or for yourself. Specially if you are tired of all the same old lifestyle stores in Chennai then this place is a feast for your eyes!
