What are they?

  1. What is the name of your company?

An intuitive name that conveys what business you are in and what it offers to customers is vital. Think through and take the time to finalize one.

Most often we are driven by emotions and like a particular phrase or word and go for it.

But its key to realize if it will resonate with your potential audience, and ask yourself – will they understand it? And will Google be able to pick you up based on the key words?

The way we operate now is so much different than the pre-Google era. And all your potential buyers are going to search you online before they decide to converse.

So, you must keep this in mind while deciding the name of your company. Want to read an exhaustive list of names of businesses that have used different strategies to come up with unique names? Click here

  1. Is your logo simple and straightforward?

The logo that you come up with must be striking and simple. With so many logos and colours flashing across the internet, it is a challenge to stand out.

So, keep yours as basic as possible without complicating it with too many colours, taglines and names.

The logo must reflect your business offerings and must be easy to understand. One look at the logo anyone must be able to figure out what you do and what you product/service is.

  1. What font are you using for your organization?

  1. What are your colour choices?

The colour choices that you make for your logo, website, and marketing collaterals is absolutely significant.

No point in using black and blue in your logo and using green and pink in your website.

If your logo uses black and blue, ensure all content marketing elements use the same or shades of it. This will give you a sound brand presence and establish you firmly in your audience’s mind.

The next time they see a black and blue they will be reminded of you. Is that not what you want?

Smart use of colours and how to engage customers with the same is whole new topic by itself. But it pays to know that if you invest your time and energy in deciding the right colours for your brand – half your work is done.

  1. What type of images are you using?

The graphics that you use in your website, collaterals and emails must be of the same genre.

If your going to introduce cartoon in a serious business presentation imagine how much damage it will do to your pitch.

So depending on the nature of your business select a particular style of images – line art, photos, faces, illustrations, animation and gifs and again use it consistently across the collateral suite.

There are so many free imaging options available for you to pick them up. To name a few: Pixabay, Unsplash, Pexels, Freepik. If you want a bigger list, click here. There are serious copyright issues if you use images from the internet, so do be careful and select only from free sites.
