Arnab Goswami – The name immediately brings to your mind some emotion definitely – smile, exasperation, curiosity, interest, anger, admiration or even resignation. Love him or hate him, you cannot ignore him. If you are one of those who reluctantly switches on the TV by 9: 00 pm and flipping channels mindlessly before you go to bed – there he is looking you in the eye and asking you to think and wake up to the realities of living in India.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Arnab Goswami needs no introduction to anyone in India who is a TV buff. There is not a chance you could miss him. From politicians, to political parties, to socialities and celebrities everyone is petrified if they are in the wrong side of the law.
Arnab Goswami is an Indian journalist and TV news anchor who was with NDTV and with Times Now till last year. He has earned a reputation for being a daring journalist who can confront anyone with tough questions if there is a need. Presently Goswami is the Managing Director, Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of the news channel Republic TV that was launched in May 2017.
His gift of the gab, and amazing confidence with which he tackles some of the dangerous situations is extremely commendable. Recently, he has been in the news so much for the Sunandha Pushkar death case and has locked horns with Shashi Tharoor himself. And yesterday at noon, he hosted an exclusive expose on the Bofors case and brought to light facts after 30 years.
However all this said, there are several other key people who have accused him of harassing them. Arnab’s style of journalism as you can notice in his debates, is very persevering and he never lets anyone off the hook that easily. With his anti neta approach he pins people down if they use their authority to get things done.
Just when we thought, here’s a journalist finally who is bold enough to chase and unearth the truth and fearlessly present it to the public, there are enough rumours and accusations surrounding him. And the phrase – Nation wants to know is getting mired in controversies as well.
Only time will tell if Arnab is chasing TRP or truth!
