KAIDI KICTHEN: GET JAILED TO BE FED with heavenly food
Hello Friends,
Have you been to the Kaidi Kitchen at Bishop Wallers Avenue? If not, do so soon because everything about the restaurant is great – approach, parking, ambience, food, quality, variety, service and costs. A Kolkatta based famous restaurant, Kaidi Kitchen set up operations in Chennai in March 2014 and they have plans to expand further in India. A very friendly Mr.Mahesh and his team Kaidi Kitchen took me around the place and spoke with so much passion about the restaurant.
Kaidi Kitchen is an awesome fully vegetarian place styled like a prison and offering a wide variety of dishes. They have cells with tables with grill doors, padlocks and red lights. Even the waiters and head waiters are dressed like jailbirds and prison wardens. Just when I thought if I should blow a whistle to call the waiter, he comes to take our order. It is indeed a very unique place and they don’t just stop at focusing on the interiors as their food is equally good.

Though people make a beeline for the cell units, there are also regular table arrangements. In fact, I chose a regular table to view the cell units from a distance.

They have a juice bar for mocktails and the juices were looking and tasting great. My Citurs Sunshine was marvelous with a tanginess of citrus, sharpness of black pepper and the saltiness from the salt making a heady mixture in the mouth.
Don’t miss the juice bar, as they have a duo that makes the most sensational juices with great combinations. And it’s not like as though they are very expensive, in fact for about 150 or 250 rupees you can get a decent drink.
