Hello Friends,
Actor Karthi’s latest film turns out to be a story of a farmer, in fact ,a successful farmer who is surrounded by a large family comprising of parents, siblings, their spouses, children and needless to say cows as well. It is heartwarming to see a farmer earning so well, especially when the TamilNadu’s rural heartland is under the throes of drought and famine. But yes, let’s look at things positively and that is precisely probably why director Pandiraj has chosen this rosy view of farmers. If youngsters are encouraged by this and consider it as one of their career options, then well and good.
You may have guessed it, Karthi is the darling of the family and as the much awaited last born, he is the blue eyed boy of the entire household. He has a slew of elder sisters and among them ,two have eligible daughters. So I am sure you made the connection, he has to set to marry one of them. However, in the meantime he falls in love with a girl outside the family and follows is the crux of the film. And then ofcourse throw in a bit of violence and a villain, songs and bright costumes, family feuds and disputes, tears and parting ways all finally conclude in a massive climax with lengthy dialogues – and there you have Kadaikutty Singam. I have no idea why the brothers (Actor Surya and Karthi) have the penchant for the Singam name, for Karthi’s name is Gunasingham! Must be a lucky mascot.
The list of actors in this film forms a mini village in itself, there are so many actors. And yes Priya Bhavani Shankar from TV anchoring and soaps has graduated to the silver screen now. Looks like a trend is beginning, TV to Films. And she is trying to make a mark by putting in a good performance in the few scenes she has managed to bag. Good work!
All in all, just another entertainer and takes you out of the urban Chennai to the green TamilNadu.
