Staying in Goa: peaceful time at the pride sun village (Part 6)
Hello Friends
If any of you is traveling to Goa and wondering where to stay: as in, if you are the kind who would prefer a comfortable place, well connected and affordable – head to the Pride Sun Village at Arpora, Goa. The Pride Sun hotel gave us an amazing off season discount with food and drinks free with a two day sightseeing trip thrown in as well. We had a great time and enjoyed much our 4 nights 5 day package with them.
A warm courtyard welcomed us with lots of greenery, pastel shade paintings, wall art and tables filled with flowers. Really a welcome sight…

Food:
They served a delicious, piping hot, freshly made food all three times of the day. One of the highlights of our trip was the great food they served. And for those of you health freaks, it was not oily and was of high quality. These days it is becoming increasingly difficult to find places that serve good quality food that does not hamper your health. On that part, Pride Sun Village scores high.
Staff:
Extremely courteous and polite hotel staff helped us around. From serving food, to the room service they were all quick and efficient. In fact they had helped us with the regular shuttle service to the Baga beach making it so easy to visit the beach as often as possible. There were also regular musical evenings during the weekends with talented singers delighting us.

The swimming pool at the hotel was a big relief during the hot afternoons. Serious swimmers could go to the deep side of the pool and swim a few laps, but there are also 3 and 4 feet dedicated pool areas for non-swimmers who just want to laze around in the water. And the best part is, the corner shop down the road offers swimwear if you have not packed any for the visit.

Rooms:
The rooms were clean and functional, period. They are’nt the luxurious, carpeted with bath tub et al. They are just roomy, well stocked and simple with a nice balcony. Looks like the hotel property is relatively an old one, so you can expect to see a bit of wear and tear here and there, but it was overall nice.
