Hello Friends,

With Diwali round the corner the entire Chennai city is throbbing with life and action. Malls are overflowing with shoppers, traffic snarls are a common feature, taxis are whizzing past, young girls are flocking boutiques, newspapers are full of colourful advertisements, fireworks is everywhere and sweet shops are loaded with orders to be delivered.

If Onam and Dusshera were much hyped affairs just a few weeks ago, Diwali is reaching its crescendo with just 2 days to go. It is exciting and pulsating to witness and experience the Chennai Diwali frenzy. Diwali being one of the most significant festivals for the Hindus it is only natural that it is being celebrated with so much fervour.

Here’s a tiny sweets and savouries shop that has been doing silent but brisk business for a years now. Most of the T.Nagar residents must well be aware of Suswad an amazing shop that sells all the varieties of Indian sweets and snacks with a homemade authentic taste that leaves you wanting for more.

Their service is quick and efficient and they are very well stocked. Be it appalams, papadams, murukkus, thattais, bondas, bhajjis, samosas, jamuns, pickles, laddoos, bhadhushas every little sweet that you remember from your childhood is available here. And what’s more it tastes exactly like how it is made at home. Purse friendly and  easy on the stomach it certainly is just the right place to visit for Diwali.
