BANAS: BRILLIANT SHADES LURE YOU TO BUY

Tucked away at the busy Alwarpet junction is a tiny little shop that you could easily miss and drive past. Banas, is the shop. They are a very strategically located shop yet it is easy to miss the place. Anyway, if you stop to notice and get down this place has a good range of fabrics, saress, blouses, stolls, dupattas, embroidered sets, bed covers, bags, skirts and palazzos. This would be an ideal place to pick up a few office wear suits for the summer. Nice cool cottons in bright colours are available.
Banas is apparently a river in Rajasthan and we assume the river neighbourhood is known for the block prints. It looks like most of the sets are brought in from Rajasthan so the salwar suits should be original and authentic. In that little shop, there is also a tailoring unit attached so if you decide to buy suits there you my even want to get the your suits stitched there as well.

Parking:
It is a bit difficult to park on the main TTK Road, so please make sure you choose timings that will not be so busy. Of course there are several side lanes where you can park, but do please watch out for NoParking zones.
