Annalakshmi Restaurant: High Quality Vegetarian Food

The great dining experience

Hello Friends,

This is one place where everything is perfect every time! Convenient parking, warm hospitality, ethnic and tastefully decorated interiors, delicious and divine food, friendly and almost family like staff, fresh and piping hot food straight from the kitchen. Each time I visit the Annalakshmi Restaurant I am left wanting more and start planning my next visit. It is every foodie’s delight, every vegetarian foodie’s dream restaurant. From traditional south indian thalis to tandoor cuisine they offer a wide spread array. Infact the noon time Preethi Bhojan thali provides a mind boggling stack of dishes which can be quite overwhelming.

This vegetarian restaurant chain was first opened in Malaysia in 1984 and now has branches in Australia, Singapore and India. Annalakshmi, is named after the Hindu goddess of plenty. It is a voluntary organization that follows the philosophy set forth by Swami Shantanand Saraswathi. His basic teaching is “to serve, to love and to give”.

At the entrance we are welcomed by Lord Ganesha sitting amidst greenery and a lovely ethnic background

The interiors are well spaced out with enough room for family foursomes or larger team dinners.

Folk art statues are situated at vantage points making the place inviting and steeped in culture

Flowers in water, again a very welcoming decoration just when we enter

Even the table decoration is done with great care

Walls are adorned with Krishna paintings and wood carvings adding elegance to the interiors

The food is made to order once the diner decides, so it easily takes 15 to 20 minutes to get served. Bu then this is the time to engage in cozy conversations and drink in the beauty of the place.
